Tinker Hatfield hit the ground running with the release of the Air Max 1 which showed the first visible Air-Unit ever. For the AM1’s 1990 follow-up, the Nike designer wanted to go bigger and highlighted the new silhouette’s bigger Air bag. The Air Max 90 also included ribbed plastic panels and multiple lacing options to create the perfect fit. The hard-to-miss shade remains as synonymous with the Air Max 90 as its shape. Popular from the start, the striking Air Max 90 symbolized a new decade. Nike designers remixed the silhouette in the years that followed, but it stays forever coveted and essential. Now Nike presents us the 90 as an exclusive PRM version in the »Dutch Green« colorway, which comes in a trendy beige-and-green color scheme.
